At Bedford Health Centre in Bedford, NS, our Registered Acupuncturists (R.Ac) are healthcare professionals who have obtained a diploma from an accredited full-time Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine program totalling at least 1900 hours, including 500 hours of clinical residency.
Treatments are scheduled for 30, 60, 75, or 90 minutes depending on your injury or health concern. Not everyone is a good candidate for cupping or gua sha. If you have a bleeding disorder or taking some blood thinners, you might have chances of marks or tissue damage. Please check before undergoing treatment.
If you are pregnant, certain areas of the body may not be suitable given it may stimulate labor and could result in premature delivery. Please notify us if you are or may be pregnant before undergoing the procedure, so that we can avoid the areas that are contraindicated.
