Susan Cook

Susan received her massage therapy diploma (RMT) in 2015 from ICT Northumberland College, and is currently pursuing her Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice with the College d'Etudes Osteopathiques in Halifax.  Susan graduated from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 1994, and has taught Dance and Stott Pilates through HRM since 2000.

Movement is paramount to good health, and Susan is pleased to share her knowledge of pain-free movement strategies to help you regain and maintain your freedom of movement. Susan currently instructs Pilates matwork and equipment-based classes. Your massage therapy treatment will fuse breathing and pilates exercises, fascial release, lymph drainage, General Swedish Massage and a variety of joint mobilization and stretch techniques. Susan's treatments are gentle but effective. Bring shorts and a top with you that enable movement and massage therapy, similar to a sports massage. Most people feel revitalized and taller following an appointment.

Susan leads a physically active lifestyle and enjoys dancing, hiking, cycling, Nordic skiing, and water sports. Susan volunteers with the Trans Canada Trail (Musquodoboit Trailways and Shore Active Transportation Association) and the Nova Scotia Nature Trust.

Susan is pleased to join the Bedford Orthopaedic Health Centre team, and share in providing the very best of care!
